Bollman students with IEPs receive modifications and accommodations as needed and stated within their IEP guidelines. Traditionally students with IEPs are very successful at Bollman and tend to receive good grades because of the many hands-on and applied learning opportunities. I enjoy working with these students to help facilitate their learning.

After growing up in the Midwest and attending Miami University (in Ohio) to earn my special education degree, I began my teaching career in Atlanta at the elementary and middle school levels. Since moving to Colorado in 1994, I have taught at Wyco Elementary School, Denver Children's Home, and Northglenn High School. This school year marks my 23rd year of teaching and is my first year at Bollman. According to No Child Left Behind and the Colorado Department of Education, I am highly qualified to teach English Language Arts and Special Education.

My husband and I have two daughters. One is a recent CU grad who has returned to pursue becoming a teacher, and the other will be soon. I enjoy walking our yellow lab, quilting, reading, and traveling.
