Auto Technology I (2 credits)

The first year program covers the following topics:

Shop Safety and Hand tools

Cooling systems and Lubrication systems

Electrical systems (digital testers, multi-testers and extensive use of digital multi-meters).

Training aids include alternators, starters, wiring circuits, videos, and stationary engines.

Chassis (brakes, tire repair, balancing and front suspension components).

4-wheel alignments with Computerized front-end rack, steering and suspension repairs.

Aamco drum and disc brake rotor lathes are used in teaching complete brake overhaul.

Fuel (basic fuel systems and basic emission systems)
